Premier Food Group is a privately owned further processing company located in Guntersville,AL. We currently utilize 7 facilities throughout the southern United States; which gives us the flexibility and capacity to process and supply products for small regional chains up to large national chains.
Premier Food Group was incorporated by Patrick Harrell in 2000 as a Louisiana based company. Upon commencing operations in 2005 the company was moved to it's current location in Guntersville. Our Management team has a combined 40 years experience within the food, with these experiences spread out from top to bottom of the food chain process; which gives us the unique understanding and knowledge of what goes on at every level of production to ensure the highest quality product and keeping prices at a competitive level.
Patrick Harrell - President
Mr. Harrell graduated from Northeast Louisiana University in 1991 with a degree in Marketing. Upon graduating,he joined Sanderson Farms Inc. Patrick was the beneficiary of Sanderson's very thorough training program, starting on the floor of the plant he learned the process from the bottom up. Patrick had a successful eleven year association with Sanderson Farms when he left in 2002 as the Corporate Sales Manager. He then moved over to Beacon Foods as their Chain Sales Representative and worked there for two and half years. Patrick incorporated Premier Food Group in 2000 and commenced operations for his own company upon leaving Beacon Foods in 2005.
Kent Lindsey - Managing Partner
Mr. Lindsey has worked in food service and sales since 1988. He is a graduate of Tyler Junior College and after a brief entrepreneurial episode with greenhouses he joined John Soules Foods where he worked in Sales. His customers included Sysco, Wal-Mart, Sam's, and Brookshire's and during his eleven year tenure the company grew from twenty five employees to over three hundred. He also moved from Sales to Plant Manager & Buyer to Operations Director before leaving. In 1999 Kent joined Meixelsperger Food Group as Vice President of Sales and Manufacturing and was instrumental in successfully transforming the marketing company into a manufacturing company producing their own goods. Chicago Gourmet Steaks employed Mr. Lindsey in 2005 as Vice President but not long after, the company reached their maximum volume and his role became part time. Kent then created his own company, TCK Consulting, to assist food companies in manufacturing and purchasing products. Kent joined Premier Food Group as a partner in 2008.
